winter week 8

So hard to work on less thing and don't loss the focus on the main projects. I am trying to finish the Ghosts'N Goblins illustration working on the Main rpg project and studying faces.

For the end of February I would like to finish the GNG illustration.

WIP again worked on the left guy chain mail. 
Not sure about some of the lighting and shadow in some area.

Liking the leaf one on top for now.

I feel like i don't have enough pixel to work with but is not that bad.

Pretty good size.

256 x 256 pixel art test
Way too much pixels, too long to work with it.
I can't imagine animating at this size.
I am going to try with an outline for each next Friday.

day 635

winter, week 7

This week deadline was to finish the sci-fi gray scale, which is done, and to finished some painting. I finished the old lady concept  did and i'm almost done with the old ghosts'n goblins zombie painting. I am still sketching for the rpg project, mainly doing some house research.

Sunday 8

Body test, so much stuff to fix

House sketching.
I like the 2 bottom right house but they don'fit with what i have in mind.
I'll keep them for something else. 

Monday 9

Skin tones, sooooooooooooooooooo hard.

Final render

I'm trying to finish this sketch and a friend told me the the light on his/her chest
is making the material different. Below are his suggestions. 

What i like about his suggestions is that I keep the value range quite subtle 
and in the some time I have a strong contrast near the head.

Almost done, I don't really like the under chest area right now.

And I need to work on my anatomy, damn....

Pretty much done with the gray scale. 
I can still work a little on the background though.

It will be fun animating it too, with some magic fx. 

I cleaned up all the color and started the shadows for no real reason.

First test ever at pixel art.
Damn the face is so hard to get right.

day 628

winter week 6

I started to give me weekly deadlines. this week was to finish an old painting and to do the color on the dark mage animation. I did warm up to practice skin tone, gesture, color and sketching, with a limit of time. Which help with speed and doing different things during the day. I did some researches, studies, and sketches for the rpg project. I can now sketch what i already have studied and keep searching for new reference for other landscape and keep it rolling.

For next week i want to finish an old painting, and make portfolio ready some concepts.
